  3. Dear Sir / Madam,
We are UK nationals holidaying in Australia and we are due to travel back to the UK on 24 March via Hanoi. We booked a flight with Vietnam Air before we left the UK in late December and the flight is divided into two parts: Kuala Lumpur to Hanoi, then a 5 hour wait in Hanoi airport and then Hanoi to London Heathrow. As Vietnam has now stopped the visa waiver for UK nationals, are we still able to transit in Hanoi and spend 5 hours there at the airport? We left the UK on 25 December 2019 and have spent most of the past three months in Australia apart from three weeks in New Zealand. Please let me know as soon as possible if we will still be able to transit via Vietnam. I have tried to contact the airline but they are not responding as I am sure lots of UK nationals on flights to the UK from Vietnam are trying to contact them as well. We will be leaving Australia on 20 March so I would appreciate it if you could contact me before then
    Thank you
    Mr William Higgins
